India Declines Arctic LNG-2 Purchase

Pankaj Jain, India’s Oil Secretary, confirmed that the country will not purchase liquefied natural gas (LNG) from Russia’s sanctioned Arctic LNG-2 project.

This decision aligns with India’s strategic approach to energy security and international relations amid ongoing geopolitical tensions.

By steering clear of such projects, India aims to maintain its commitment to diversifying energy sources while adhering to global sanctions and regulations.

The focus remains on securing stable and reliable energy supplies without compromising diplomatic ties.
