Dilip Buildcon receives LoA worth Rs 2,683 cr from SECL

Dilip Buildcon Limited (DBL) told the media that it received a letter of award (LoA) from South Eastern Coalfield Limited (SECL) worth Rs 2,683.02 crore.
The company said that it received an LoA for Over Burden (OB) removal contract mining work for Amadand OCP, Jamuna Kotma Area, Tehsil-Kotma-Anuppur in MP valued at Rs 2,683.02 crore.
The contract is for the hiring of Heavy Earth Moving Machinery (HEMM) and allied equipment for OB removal, loading into tippers, transportation, unloading of extracted materials and slit, dumping, scrapping, maintaining haul road, water sprinkling, spreading of excavated materials and levelling of dumps according to the direction of the management.
The contract was signed for 1,795 days at Amadand OCP, Jamuna Kotma Area.
DBL said that the company has emerged as the lowest bidder for the tender of SECL.
Officials said that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested three senior officials of DBL and officials from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) for alleged corruption cases. The CBI officials recovered Rs 4 crore cash after conducting raids.
Sources told the media that the DBL officials were allegedly involved in bribing Rs 20 lakh to the officials of NHAI linked with the project through Anuj Gupta, a private individual. CBI officials searched the premises of the accused in New Delhi, Bengaluru, Gurugram, Cochin and Bhopal, which resulted in the recovery of Rs 4 crore.
