Coal India’s CSR Spending Rises 37% in April-January

Coal India Ltd (CIL) increased its corporate social responsibility (CSR) spending by 36.5% to Rs 4.97 billion during April-January of the current financial year, up from Rs 3.64 billion in the same period last year, according to a company official.
The state-owned miner, which contributes over 80% of India’s coal production, allocates more than 70% of its CSR funds to healthcare, nutrition, sanitation, education, and livelihood initiatives.
