Telangana Approves 1,901 Industrial Projects
Since December 2023, under the leadership of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, the state has also approved 16 mega projects, amounting to a combined investment of Rs 14,433 crore and generating 8,894 jobs. Some of the largest investments cleared under TG-iPASS include Kaynes Semicon with Rs 2,700 crore, Maharashtra Seamless with Rs 258 crore, GM Nexus India with Rs 192 crore, Bactolac Nutraceuticals with Rs 194 crore, and RMJ Veritiable Products with Rs 127 crore.
Incentives totaling Rs 272.24 crore have been granted to 2,489 units led by general category entrepreneurs, Rs 350.87 crore to 5,430 units promoted by Scheduled Tribe (ST) entrepreneurs, and Rs 159.63 crore to 2,623 units led by Scheduled Caste (SC) entrepreneurs.
The Minister also highlighted the launch of the MSME Policy 2024, which aims to address six key challenges faced by entrepreneurs in Telangana and emphasizes the promotion of women entrepreneurs. As part of the policy, 10 new industrial parks will be developed between the Outer Ring Road (ORR) and Regional Ring Road (RRR), with five reserved for MSMEs. One park will be dedicated to women entrepreneurs, and another to innovative startups.
Furthermore, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) has committed nearly Rs 1,700 crore for projects in Telangana.
