Shree Cement Begins Operations at 3 MTPA Unit in Etah, UP
Strategically located near railway infrastructure, the Etah unit ensures cost-efficient transportation of raw materials from Rajasthan. Cement dispatch from the plant will utilize both road and rail networks, optimizing distribution logistics. A newly developed road connecting the plant directly to the highway further enhances transportation efficiency.
The Etah unit emphasizes sustainable operations, featuring zero-waste processes and advanced environmental management systems. It uses air-cooled screw compressors to reduce water usage and is equipped with high-efficiency filters to limit environmental impact. The plant also has a collaboration with the nearby Jawaharpur Thermal Power Plant to fully utilize its fly ash waste—around 5,000 tonnes per day—thereby improving resource efficiency.
Shree Cement plans to enhance its green energy initiatives at the plant by installing a solar power system within the next two to three years. The facility is equipped with advanced German technology, including pollution control systems like the Mill Bag House with Epoxy cages, which significantly reduce dust emissions. The plant also includes 100 per cent covered storage for raw materials, ensuring both operational safety and quality. These features reflect the company’s commitment to sustainable development and environmental stewardship while contributing to Uttar Pradesh’s industrial growth.
