Telangana minister urges govt to reopen Cement Corporation plant
KTR mentioned that he brought the issue to the notice of Pandey’s predecessors earlier, but no decision was made in favour of the matter. He also said that the CCI Adilabad commenced production with an initial price of Rs 47 crore in 1984.
The location of the plant is on the outskirts of Adilabad town in a 772 acres area and has a 170 acres township with about 400 quarters. KTR emphasised that the former plant has a live mining lease in an area of about 1,500 acres with limestone deposits of about 48 million tonnes and that the unit also has availability of water and a power supply connection of 32 KVA for the plant.
KTR, Minister for IT and Industries, ordered the officials to accelerate the industries shifting to outside the ORR and suggested that they prepare comprehensive information about industries in the city.
KTR instructed the officials to work with PCB and prepare pollution control measures in new industries. Additionally, he discussed the proposals of investment and their progress in the State with respective directors from several departments in the industry.
