West Bengal floats tender for Water Distribution System in Howrah
The Public Health Engineering Department of West Bengal has released a tender to commission a water distribution system for 28 zones encompassing Shyampur-I & II and a section of Bagnan-I & II Block in the Howrah district of West Bengal.
The scope of work includes the supply, installation, and commissioning of the distribution system for these 28 zones, which involves constructing all necessary pipe supporting structures and providing functional household tap connections (FHTC). The distribution network will be established through OHRs (Overhead Reservoirs) for 12 zones in Shyampur-I and II Block and 16 zones in a section of Bagnan-I and II Block.
The estimated cost of the project is Rs 2.88 billion, and the stipulated timeline for completion is 18 months, excluding a three-month trial run. Following the trial run, the contractor will be responsible for the operation and maintenance (O&M) of the system for a period of three years.
Interested parties must submit their bids by August 5, 2023.
