The Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA) has issued a tender for the development of a 5 MW solar power project in Mau, Uttar Pradesh.
Bidders must submit their proposals by March 10, 2025, with the bid opening scheduled for the following day.
To participate, bidders are required to submit a document fee of Rs 29,500, a processing fee of Rs 200,000 plus 18% GST, and an earnest money deposit of Rs 800,000 per MW.
Successful bidders will need to provide a performance bank guarantee of Rs 2 million per MW within 30 days of receiving the letter of intent.
The project’s annual capacity utilisation factor (CUF) must be at least 19%. Over the first ten years, energy supply must meet a CUF within +10% to -15% of the declared CUF, as per the terms of the power purchase agreement (PPA).
Bidders are required to use commercially proven, operational technologies to minimize technological risks and ensure timely project completion. Only solar modules from the latest Approved List of Models and Manufacturers should be used.
The project must be completed within 15 months from the PPA signing.
UPNEDA will lease land in Saraisadi village for the project at a rate of Rs 15,000 per acre per annum for 30 years, post-PPA signing.
Bidders must have a minimum net worth of Rs 8 million per MW of the quoted capacity, calculated as of the last date of the previous financial year or at least seven days before the bid submission deadline.
In November 2024, UPNEDA also invited bids for the installation of 2 MW rooftop solar systems with battery backup for captive use in government buildings. The scope included the design, supply, installation, and commissioning of the systems, as well as remote monitoring services.
