The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has submitted the proposal, and work is expected to begin soon. The 38.5-km highway will include four bypasses and a widened 10-meter road, requiring the acquisition of 87 hectares of land. Officials estimate the project will take around five to six months to complete.

Additionally, NHAI will construct a four-lane road from Jhumka Tiraha to the bypass via Chaubari in Bareilly to improve last-mile connectivity. While the budget is being sanctioned, a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the forest department is pending.

Meanwhile, NHAI has launched the Rajmargyatra App to tackle encroachments along national highways, ensuring smooth traffic flow and enhanced road safety.
