TVS Motor to broaden electric bike range in next year


TVS Motor?s intention to broaden its electric two-wheeler range in the coming year, aiming to serve customers across various price ranges. The company, headquartered in Chennai and currently offering two e-scooters, also has plans to expand its sales infrastructure for electric vehicles in the future.

Additionally, TVS Motor Company is in the process of developing an electric three-wheeler. During an analyst call, K N Radhakrishnan, Director and CEO of TVS Motor Company, stated, "We are also planning to launch a series of products in the range of 5 to 25 kilowatts in the next year."

Highlighting the strong market demand, Radhakrishnan mentioned that the production capacity of the electric scooter iQube has been increased to 25,000 units per month, with further enhancements planned for the future. TVS Motor Company is set to initiate the sales of its new electric scooter, TVS X, in the current quarter.

Radhakrishnan provided insights into TVS's expansion strategy, noting that the company has nearly 400 touchpoints for e-scooters, with continuous efforts to expand this network. He expressed confidence in TVS being a robust player in the electric vehicle (EV) segment, citing the planned product lineup and ongoing infrastructure improvements.
