Raghanesda Solar Park, one of the largest solar parks in India, is located in the Banaskantha district of Gujarat.
This project is another landmark for TPREL as the plant will likely produce 255 million units in the first year of its operation.
Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL) awarded the project. With this increase of 100 MW, the total established capacity of TPREL will be 2,797 MW with 1,865 MW of solar and 932 MW of wind. It has 1,234 MW of renewable projects under implementation.
Praveer Sinha, Tata Power CEO and MD told the media that they are proud to declare that TPREL has commissioned the 100MW project at one of the largest solar parks in the nation in Gujarat. They are steadfast in our conviction towards supporting the realisation of clean and green energy in India through solar power production.
Despite several challenges faced due to Covid-19 by the industry, through Tata Power’s EPC arm Tata Power Solar Systems Ltd, TPREL has finished the project within the timelines because of its capabilities and project execution experience.
The project implementation continues to grow Tata Power’s solar portfolio and its overall renewable energy portfolio. The company has announced its goal of shifting to renewable led growth and aims for a 60% renewable portfolio by 2025.
