TP Solar Wins Rs 4.55 Bn Deal for 300 MWp Solar Modules

TP Solar, a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Power Renewable Energy (TPREL), has signed a contract with Maharashtra State Power Generation Company (MSPGCL) to supply 300 MWp of ALMM-certified solar modules for the Mukhyamantri Saur Krushi Vahini Yojana (MSKVY) 2.0 project. The contract, valued at Rs 4.55 billion, is part of a larger 750 MWp tender finalised through a competitive e-Reverse Auction (eRA) process. The modules will be delivered to multiple locations across Maharashtra within the current year.

TP Solar operates India’s largest single-location solar cell and module manufacturing plant in Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu, with a capacity of 4.3 GW each for cells and modules. The facility, developed with an investment of Rs 43 billion, supports India’s solar manufacturing self-sufficiency and contributes to the country’s goal of achieving a Net-Zero carbon future.
