THDC India Seeks Consultants for Floating Solar Projects Across India

THDC India Ltd., a leading power generation company, has invited bids from technical consulting agencies to prepare feasibility reports for floating solar power projects across India. The projects are slated for development in Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Rajasthan, and Maharashtra.

Bidders have until August 5, 2024, to submit their proposals, with bid openings scheduled for the following day. Each bidder must provide an earnest money deposit of ?86,000 (~$1,029) along with their submission.

The selected consultant will be required to furnish a performance bank guarantee equivalent to 5% of the contract price within 28 days of the letter of award.

Prospective bidders are advised to visit project sites and attend a pre-bid conference to familiarize themselves with local conditions. THDC emphasizes that bidders must independently bear the costs associated with these activities.

To qualify, bidders must demonstrate a minimum of three years' experience in providing consultancy services for pre-feasibility or detailed project report studies of solar projects, both in India and internationally. Additionally, they must have successfully delivered at least two pre-feasibility reports or detailed project reports for grid-connected floating solar projects with a capacity of at least 10 MW, accepted by their clients within the last seven years.

Financial eligibility criteria stipulate that bidders must have maintained an average annual turnover of not less than ?2.59 million (~$31,019) over the past three fiscal years. Their net worth should not be negative as of the most recent fiscal year, and it should not have eroded by more than 30% in the past three years.

This initiative follows THDC India's previous call for proposals last December, which focused on feasibility studies for floating solar power projects in the Godavari Marathwada region of Maharashtra.
