Telangana CM Lays Foundation for Multiple Development Projects
Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Sunday inaugurated a series of infrastructure and development projects in Wanaparthy district, spearheaded by the Panchayati Raj Department. The projects, aimed at enhancing education, healthcare, tourism, and infrastructure, reflect the government’s commitment to regional development.
The major initiatives include investments of $4.8 million for blacktop (BT) roads across Wanaparthy district and its mandals, $61.3 million for the construction of a new government hospital building, $2.6 million for an IT Tower to boost digital and technological infrastructure, $5.7 million for new buildings at the Zilla Parishad High School (ZPHS) and Government Junior College, and $24 million for the establishment of the Young India Integrated Residential School. Additionally, $1.3 million has been allocated for a 30-bed hospital in Pebbair to expand healthcare services, $180,000 for tourism development at the Srirangapur temple, $4.2 million for CRR road works to improve connectivity, and $1.5 million for upgrading tribal hostels in Wanaparthy constituency.
The Chief Minister also launched the comprehensive survey for the Kasimnagar Lift Irrigation Scheme, which aims to enhance irrigation facilities and boost agricultural productivity in the region. Several key dignitaries were present at the event, including Dr. Mallu Ravi, Nagar Kurnool MP; Damodar Rajanarasimha, District In-charge & Health Minister; Jupally Krishna Rao, Excise & Tourism Minister; Thudi Megha Reddy, Wanaparthy MLA; Dr. G Chinna Reddy, State Planning Board Vice-Chairman; Shanti Kumari, Chief Secretary; Adarsh Surabhi, District Collector, along with senior officials from various state departments. These landmark projects mark a new phase of growth for Wanaparthy, strengthening infrastructure, healthcare, education, and tourism, and driving economic progress in the region.
