Tata Power surpasses 100 thousand home EV charger installations

Tata Power, one of India's largest integrated power companies, announced on World EV Day that it had surpassed the installation of 1 lakh home electric vehicle (EV) chargers across the country. The chargers, installed in both urban and remote areas, are intended to provide a reliable and seamless charging experience for customers, promoting the adoption of e-mobility.

In addition to the home chargers, the company reported that it had also exceeded the milestone of deploying over 1,100 EV bus charging points in major metropolitan cities, contributing to the development of a sustainable public transport charging network.

Tata Power currently operates a network of over 5,600 public and captive RFID-enabled charging points at malls, hotels, hospitals, offices, residential societies, and highways. These charging points are monitored centrally by an advanced Network Operations Centre (NOC) in Mumbai.

The company expressed its commitment to strengthening EV charging infrastructure through public, semi-public, and home charging solutions, furthering India's transition to cleaner and greener transportation. Tata Power?s growing infrastructure is anticipated to play a significant role in supporting sustainable mobility and reducing carbon emissions in the transportation sector.
