Suzlon Secures 103.95 MW Wind Project from Ampin Energy

Renewable energy firm Suzlon Group has secured a 103.95 MW wind power project from Ampin Energy. This new venture signifies a robust expansion in India's renewable energy sector, contributing significantly to the country?s sustainable energy goals.

The project will be located in Madhya Pradesh and is part of Ampin Energy?s broader strategy to increase its renewable energy portfolio. Suzlon, known for its expertise in wind energy solutions, will provide the necessary equipment and oversee the project's installation and commissioning.

The project entails the supply of 49 units of Suzlon?s S120?2.1 MW wind turbines, which are designed for low wind speed sites. These advanced turbines will enhance energy generation efficiency and optimise performance, ensuring a reliable power supply.

Suzlon?s scope of work includes comprehensive operations and maintenance services post-commissioning, guaranteeing sustained efficiency and productivity. The project is expected to be commissioned in phases by 2024, with the full capacity aimed to be operational by the end of the year.

This collaboration between Suzlon and Ampin Energy reflects the growing momentum in India's renewable energy market, driven by supportive government policies and increasing corporate commitments to sustainability. The project will generate enough green energy to power thousands of households, significantly reducing carbon emissions and contributing to environmental conservation.

Tulsi Tanti, Chairman and Managing Director of Suzlon Group, expressed optimism about the partnership, emphasising Suzlon's commitment to advancing India's renewable energy landscape. This project underscores Suzlon's position as a key player in the wind energy sector and its dedication to driving sustainable growth.

The successful execution of this wind project will not only boost Suzlon's project portfolio but also reinforce Ampin Energy's renewable energy capabilities, setting a precedent for future renewable energy projects in the region.
