Sterling and Wilson Wins Rs 12 Billion Solar EPC Project in Gujarat


Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy (SWREL) has secured a contract valued at approximately Rs 12 billion for a 500 MW (AC) solar PV project in Gujarat. The scope of the project includes the Design, Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) of the Balance of System (BOS), along with a three-year Operations and Maintenance (O&M) contract.

The Letter of Intent (LoI) for the project underscores the continued growth of Sterling and Wilson in India’s renewable energy sector. The company will be responsible for the single-point EPC work, ensuring seamless project execution.

Amit Jain, the Global CEO of Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Group, mentioned that the project would support India and Gujarat in advancing their clean energy goals. He also emphasised that the continued trust from customers reinforces their commitment to contributing to India’s renewable energy transition. This project adds to the company’s portfolio of solar energy projects in India and contributes to the country’s efforts to meet its renewable energy targets in line with its climate commitments.
