Interested bidders are required to pay a tender fee of Rs 5,900 plus 18 per cent GST and submit an earnest money deposit of Rs 1.764 million. Successful bidders must also provide a performance bank guarantee of Rs 2,750 per kW of the final accepted project capacity within 28 days of receiving the letter of award.

The project scope includes the design, supply, installation, testing, commissioning, and ongoing operation and maintenance of the rooftop solar systems. Eligibility criteria require bidders to have prior experience in executing similar projects and to be empaneled by SJVN for Arunachal Pradesh under the renewable energy service company model. Additionally, bidders must have maintained a minimum average annual turnover of Rs 26.466 million over the last three financial years.

Failure to comply with project timelines or contractual obligations will result in liquidated damages as per the agreement. The Ministry of New & Renewable Energy has designated SJVN as the Scheme Implementation Partner to facilitate grid-connected rooftop solar projects on government properties. The initiative aims to cover all government buildings across India by December 2025. Several central public sector enterprises, including SJVN, are responsible for deploying these solar systems.

Additionally, SJVN has issued a request for selection to develop a 375 MW/1,500 MWh standalone battery energy storage system (BESS) in Uttar Pradesh under a build-own-operate model. The project benefits from central government funding support and involves design, financing, engineering, procurement, construction, and maintenance of the BESS infrastructure.
