Sivakasi Outer Ring Road Project: Foundation Stone for Phase One Laid


On March 3, State Finance Minister Thangam Thennarasu laid the foundation stone for the first phase of the Sivakasi Outer Ring Road project. The 33.5 km road will be developed in three phases, aimed at improving connectivity and easing traffic flow.

The first phase involves a Rs 1.20 billion work order to construct a 9.92 km stretch from Poovanathapuram Junction to Vadamalapuram Bridge. This section will link Srivilliputhur-Sivakasi Road with Sivakasi-Erichanatham Road and extend to Sivakasi-Virudhunagar Road. The project is expected to significantly reduce congestion and enhance economic growth in the region.
