SIPCOT Industrial Park to be Developed on 800 acre in Cheyyur: TN CM
A new SIPCOT industrial park spanning 800 acre is set to be established in Cheyyur to enhance industrial development in Chengalpattu district, Tamil Nadu. Chengalpattu is already a key industrial hub in the state, and this initiative aims to strengthen its growth further.
At a government function in suburban Chengalpattu, the Chief Minister inaugurated 47 completed projects valued at Rs 2.80 billion. Additionally, foundation stones were laid for five new projects worth Rs 4.97 billion. As part of the event, government welfare assistance amounting to Rs 5.08 billion was distributed to 50,606 beneficiaries.
A new scheme for issuing land pattas was also introduced, benefiting 25,965 individuals residing in urban areas. On the occasion, 13,966 people were granted pattas.
Before the event, the Chief Minister walked from Thirukkazhukundram to the venue, receiving a warm welcome from women, students, and other members of the public. During his walk, he interacted with citizens and accepted petitions from them.
This series of initiatives is expected to drive economic development, improve infrastructure, and support industrial expansion in Chengalpattu, further solidifying its position as a major industrial district in Tamil Nadu.
