RVNL JV secures Rs 6.13 billion rail infra project in Karnataka


A joint venture (JV) between Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) and Rithwik Projects Pvt. Ltd. (RPPL) has been awarded a Rs 6.13 billion rail infrastructure contract in Karnataka. RVNL announced on November 5, 2024, that the JV emerged as the lowest bidder for the "Package C4A: Construction of Nine Stations" project, awarded by Rail Infrastructure Development Company (Karnataka) Limited (K-RIDE).

This project, part of the Bengaluru Suburban Rail Project (BSRP), involves building nine stations, including one elevated and eight at-grade stations, along with other civil and structural works. The project is set to be completed within 24 months.

RVNL holds a 51% stake in the JV, while RPPL holds the remaining 49%. This win adds to a series of successful bids for RVNL. In another recent project, RVNL, in partnership with SCPL, secured the lowest bid for an Rs 8.37 billion Eastern Railway project. RVNL has also been awarded a Rs 6.25 billion EPC contract with South Central Railway for track doubling between Parbhani and Parli in Maharashtra. Additionally, a consortium led by RVNL was selected as the lowest bidder for a Rs 50 billion project from BSNL, alongside HFCL Limited and Aerial Telecom Solutions Pvt. Ltd. (ET)
