RVNL completes Tunnel 14 in Bhanupali-Bilaspur-Beri railway project


Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has achieved a major milestone by completing Tunnel No. 14 in the Bhanupali-Bilaspur-Beri railway project. The 2.2 km tunnel was excavated over two years, emphasising the team's commitment to safety and quality. This marks the completion of 13 out of the 16 planned tunnels for the project.

The breakthrough of Tunnel No. 14, announced on September 11, 2024, was celebrated in the presence of RVNL’s Chairman and Managing Director, underlining the significance of this achievement.

The Bhanupali-Bilaspur-Beri railway line is an important infrastructure project aimed at enhancing connectivity and promoting economic growth in Himachal Pradesh and Punjab. With the completion of 13 tunnels, the project is steadily progressing towards its goal, promising a significant boost to the region’s transportation network. (psuconnect)
