In Manipur, 41 new road projects covering a total length of 280.97 km have been sanctioned with an estimated investment of Rs 2.25 billion. These are in addition to 56 road projects spanning 502.24 km, previously approved with a budget of Rs 4.04 billion under the same scheme.

Mizoram has been allocated funding for the construction of seven Long Span Bridges (LSBs) with a total length of 373.46 meters, at a cost of Rs 670.69 million. Earlier, the state had received approval for 17 roads covering 487.50 km, with a sanctioned investment of Rs 5.62 billion.

In Himachal Pradesh, 21 Long Span Bridges totalling 970.772 meters in length have been approved at an estimated cost of Rs 1.40 billion. These are in addition to a substantial allocation for 299 roads covering 3,123.117 km and 43 LSBs, amounting to a total investment of Rs 33.45 billion already sanctioned under PMGSY-III.

Uttarakhand has received approval for nine Long Span Bridges spanning 246 meters, with an investment of Rs 400.77 million. Earlier, the state was allocated funding for 212 road projects covering 2,287.95 km and nine LSBs, amounting to Rs 18.65 billion.

These infrastructure initiatives are part of the government’s continued efforts to improve connectivity in remote and rural regions, thereby facilitating better access to markets, healthcare, education, and other essential services.
