ReNew commits Rs 315 billion for solar power manufacturing in Gujarat


Renewable energy leader ReNew has pledged to invest Rs 315 billion in Gujarat to establish various solar power generation projects and manufacturing facilities. The company signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Gujarat state government at the ongoing REInvest event in Gandhinagar.

According to the MoU, ReNew will allocate Rs 175 billion to develop 3,000 MW of solar and 630 MW of wind projects in Gujarat, aimed at supplying power to the state. Additionally, the company plans to invest Rs 120 billion in setting up manufacturing facilities for 6,000 MW of ingot-wafer, 8,500 MW of solar cells, and 2,400 MW of solar modules. (ET)
