To lead this initiative, RInfra has appointed Ivan Saha as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Renewable Manufacturing. Saha brings over three decades of expertise in semiconductors, solar technology, and device design, having previously worked with organizations such as Vikram Solar and ReNew Power.

In addition to solar equipment manufacturing, RInfra is setting up an integrated battery manufacturing unit to develop advanced energy storage solutions for grid applications and electric mobility. Mushtaque Hussain has been appointed as CEO of Battery Manufacturing. With more than 25 years of experience in automotive, renewable energy, consumer electronics, and power tools, Hussain has held leadership roles in major companies, including Reliance Industries (RIL) and Tesla.

As a key player in infrastructure, RInfra currently operates metro rail projects, toll roads, and power distribution businesses. With its entry into solar equipment and battery manufacturing, the Reliance Group aims to cover the entire renewable energy value chain, offering end-to-end solutions from manufacturing to solar power generation.

This initiative aligns with the broader efforts of Reliance Power, another group entity, which has been expanding in renewable energy generation. Reliance NU Energies Private Limited has recently appointed new leadership, while Reliance Nu Suntech Private Ltd secured a 930 MW solar energy project with a battery energy storage system (BESS) from the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI). The project, the largest single-location integrated solar power and BESS project in Asia, includes a minimum storage capacity of 465 MW/1,860 MWh.

Additionally, Reliance Power is developing 1,270 MW of renewable energy projects in Bhutan, further reinforcing the group’s presence in the renewable sector.
