RECPDCL Transfers Ratle Kiru Power SPV to IndiGrid 2


REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL), a wholly owned subsidiary of REC Limited—a Maharatna CPSU under the Ministry of Power—has officially transferred the Ratle Kiru Power Transmission Limited SPV to IndiGrid 2 Private Limited. The handover, conducted on 24th March 2025 in Gurugram, follows IndiGrid 2's selection as the Transmission Service Provider (TSP) through a Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) process.

IndiGrid 2 will develop the transmission project on a Build, Own, Operate & Transfer (BOOT) basis. The SPV was formally handed over by Shri T.S.C. Bosh, CEO of RECPDCL, to Shri Puneet Singh Chauhan, Vice President & Head (Commercial) at IndiGrid 2 Private Limited, in the presence of senior officials from RECPDCL, IndiGrid 2, and the Central Transmission Utility of India Limited.

The project entails constructing 150 km of 400 kV transmission lines between Samba (J&K) and Jalandhar (Punjab), along with a 35 km stretch between Kishenpur (J&K) and Samba, plus associated infrastructure. The estimated project cost stands at approximately Rs 14.07 billion, with an implementation period of 24 months.
