REC Power handed over SPV for power evacuation from RE projects
REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL), a subsidiary of REC Limited, has handed over the project-specific Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV), formed for the construction of transmission projects through a transmission system for power evacuation from renewable energy projects in Maharashtra to the consortium of IndiGrid 1 Limited and IndiGrid 2 Limited. The consortiums were the winning bidders of the inter-state power transmission project, under the Ministry of Power, Government of India and RECPDCL as the bidding process coordinator. CEO of RECPDCL, R Lakshmanan and Joint CEO of RECPDCL, TSC Bosh, handed over the SPV to Bigyan Parija from IndiGrid 1 Limited and Aditya Kislay from IndiGrid 2 Limited. Other senior officials of all the three companies were also present there. The transmission developers who participated in the bidding were selected through the Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) process in line with the Standard Bidding Document and guidelines of the Ministry of Power and the government of India. The scope of transmission project work includes setting up a 400/220 kV sub-station at Kallam and a LILO of 400 kV double circuit in the Pune transmission line.
