REC disburses Rs 909.55 billion in H1 FY25; renewable loans surge 93%
REC, a Maharatna Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Power, reported that it had disbursed loans amounting to Rs 909.55 billion for the half-year ending September 30, 2024. This figure represented a 20.10 per cent increase compared to the same period in the previous year.
The company indicated that loans for renewable energy totalled Rs 112.97 billion, showcasing a significant year-on-year growth of 92.68 per cent.
In the second quarter of FY24-25, REC disbursed loans of Rs 473.03 billion, which was a 13.71 per cent rise from Rs 415.98 billion in Q2 of FY23-24.
During the same quarter, loans for renewable energy reached Rs 59.46 billion, reflecting a 37.35 per cent increase compared to the previous year.
