Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) has been declared the successful bidder under Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) for the Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS) project aimed at evacuating power from Mahan Energen Limited's generating station in Madhya Pradesh.

The project, awarded on a Build, Own, Operate, and Transfer (BOOT) basis, includes the construction of a 400kV D/C transmission line and associated bays at the Rewa Power Station (PG) substation in Madhya Pradesh.

POWERGRID received the Letter of Intent (LoI) on April 1, 2025, confirming its selection for the project, further strengthening its position as a leader in India’s power transmission sector.
