Power Mech Projects wins dual contracts for O&M, Sand Mining Ventures


Power Mech Projects has secured dual contracts totalling Rs 7.23 billion. Among these, one contract originates from Raichur Power Corporation (RPCL), involving operational and maintenance (O&M) responsibilities at Chikkasugur in the Raichur district of Karnataka.

This specific O&M project pertains to the 2x800 MW Yeramarus Thermal Power Station (YTPS), a coal-based facility in Karnataka. The contract's value is estimated at Rs 1.58 billion, and its completion is anticipated within a 36-month timeframe.

Additionally, a consortium consisting of Power Mech and Purvottar Mining and Trading has been granted a contract by the Madhya Pradesh State Mining Corporation (MSMCL) to serve as a mine developer-cum-operator (MDO) for sand mining activities. The designated regions for this venture are Narmadapuram-2, Raisen, and Narasingpur in Madhya Pradesh.

The aggregate value of this contract is Rs 5.65 billion, and the project's implementation is scheduled over three-year duration. Notably, the execution of these contracts will involve the establishment of special purpose vehicles (SPVs).
