PNGRB proposes Natural Gas Pipeline for J&K energy needs

The Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) has put forth a proposal for the construction of a natural gas pipeline between Jammu and Srinagar, aiming to address the energy requirements in the union territory of Jammu & Kashmir.

To gather input on the route and carrying capacity of the pipeline, the downstream regulator has initiated a public consultation. All stakeholders have been invited to submit their comments within a one-month period.

The intended pipeline will establish a connection with the Gurdaspur-Jammu natural gas pipeline and receive gas supply through it as well.
