PM Modi Launches Rs 25.8 Billion Development Projects in Silvassa


Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and launched development projects worth over Rs 25.8 billion in Silvassa, Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu. He also inaugurated the Rs 4.6 billion Namo Hospital, a 450-bed facility aimed at strengthening healthcare services, particularly benefiting tribal communities. 

Addressing the gathering, PM Modi highlighted the region’s transformation since 2014 and its emergence as a hub of education, healthcare, and infrastructure. He praised the area’s progress with six national-level institutes and modern healthcare facilities, underscoring the government’s focus on holistic development. 

The Prime Minister stressed the importance of initiatives like the Gir Adarsh Aajeevika Yojana for women’s empowerment and the Sylvan Didi scheme supporting women street vendors. He also emphasised industrial growth, enhanced connectivity through new roads and the upcoming bullet train station, and efforts to boost tourism with projects like the Diu Beach Games and eco-resorts. 

PM Modi reaffirmed the government’s commitment to transforming the region into a model of development and good governance.
