A 117 MLD water treatment plant will be built at a cost of $20.5 billion as part of the Yadgir multi-village drinking water delivery scheme, which the prime minister also officially lay the cornerstone for. This project would supply potable water to about 2.3 lakh families. More than three lakh farmers in 560 villages in the Kalaburgi, Yadagir, and Vijaypur districts will benefit from the Narayanpur Left Bank Canal - Extension Renovation and Modernization Project (NLBC - ERM), which he also dedicated.
