PGCIL seeks bids for rooftop solar projects across 9 states


Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) has announced a call for bids to develop 20.68 megawatts (MW) of rooftop solar projects in eight states. This initiative is part of the company's ongoing efforts to enhance renewable energy infrastructure and support India's transition to cleaner energy sources.

The bidding process will cover multiple states, aiming to increase the adoption of solar energy on rooftops and boost local energy production. PGCIL is seeking qualified contractors to undertake the installation and commissioning of these solar projects, with a focus on efficiency and timely execution.

The selected bidders will be responsible for the complete setup, including procurement, installation, and commissioning of the solar panels. The move aligns with the government?s objectives to promote renewable energy and reduce reliance on fossil fuels.
