Over 141 Acres of Land Allocated for Pharma Park in Naya Raipur
Chhattisgarh is positioning itself as a key pharmaceutical hub in central India, with the Naya Raipur Atal Nagar Development Authority allocating 141.84 acres of land in Sector-22 for the establishment of a pharmaceutical park. The Chhattisgarh State Industrial Development Corporation (CSIDC) has been granted the land to develop this initiative.
According to state representatives, the development of this park is part of a broader strategy to strengthen healthcare services and improve accessibility for citizens. The project aligns with the state’s new industrial policy for 2024-30, which offers various incentives and concessions to pharmaceutical industries.
The government anticipates that the pharmaceutical park will attract both domestic and international investments, increase competition in the sector, create jobs for local youth, and stimulate economic growth in the state.
"Through this park, we aim to meet the growing demand for healthcare products both domestically and internationally. Additionally, Chhattisgarh’s Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Ayushman Health Scheme provides free treatment to 77.20 lakh families in the state, which will be expanded to cover Rs 10 lakh in the future," said the government spokesperson.
The facility will support pharmaceutical units specialising in Ayush products, with modern infrastructure including a flatted factory complex and a common effluent treatment plant (CETP). The park will also feature research and development centres and testing laboratories.
The state government offers a 100% investment promotion on capital investments for large-scale pharmaceutical enterprises, including reimbursements for SGST payments and capital investment grants.
