NVVN Invites Bids for 8 MW Solar Projects at DRDO Hyderabad
NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam (NVVN) has issued a tender for an 8 MW grid-connected rooftop solar power project at the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) Hyderabad campus. Bids must be submitted by February 19, 2025. Bids will be opened on February 20. The project’s scope of work entails providing and installing project equipment and completing civil and associated works. It also involves engineering, designing, manufacturing, testing, and commissioning the project. Selected bidders must furnish a performance security of 10% of the contract value within 28 days of the notification of award. They must also submit a security deposit of 0.1 x G x R, where G is the annual power generation based on the capacity utilization factor for that year, and R is (~$0.058)/kWh. Successful bidders must provide operation and maintenance services for 10 years from the project’s completion. The project must be completed within 22.5 months from the notification of award. Bidders must be Class-I or Class-II local suppliers. They must submit details of their gross turnover during the last three financial years and a chartered accountant-certified balance sheet and profit and loss account for the past three years. Bidders from countries sharing a land border with India can apply, provided they are registered with the competent authorities. Indian bidders having transfer of technology agreements with entities from these countries must also be registered with the same authorities. These requirements do not apply to bidders from countries that have received lines of credit or are involved in development projects with the Indian government. Recently, NVVN issued tenders for the engineering, procurement, and construction of 4 MW grid-connected rooftop solar power projects at the DRDO campuses
