Noida Airport on Yamuna Expressway to Be Linked with Delhi IGI

The Noida Metro Rail Corporation has unveiled a plan to enhance connectivity between Noida and Delhi by extending a metro line that will link the upcoming Noida International Airport near the Yamuna Expressway with the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi. This project aims to improve travel options for commuters traveling between Noida and Delhi.

The extension will be made to the Golden Route, which currently connects Aerocity to Tughlakabad. The new plan will extend this route by 5 kilometres, linking Tughlakabad to Kalindi Kunj, and further connecting to the Magenta Line at the Botanical Garden Metro Station. This development will significantly ease travel for passengers commuting between Delhi and Noida.

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has requested a funding of Rs 9.50 billion from the Yamuna Development Authority to support the project. Once completed, the Golden Route's extension to Kalindi Kunj, along with its connection to the Magenta Line, will improve overall metro connectivity in the region.

The Botanical Garden station will play a pivotal role in this expansion, offering enhanced access for residents of Noida and Greater Noida. This will also provide a seamless metro route to both the Noida International Airport and Indira Gandhi International Airport, making air travel more convenient for commuters.
