NMRC likely to issue tender for proposed multi-modal transport soon

The Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) is expected to issue a tender for the proposed multi-modal integration of bus services, e-bikes, e-rickshaws, and cabs with its stations within one month.

Noida Authority CEO and NMRC managing director Ritu Maheshwari on Tuesday told the media that the corporation has already drafted a detailed project report (DPR) for the project that aims to enhance last-mile connectivity with the Aqua Line stations.

The DPR submitted recently was analysed, and some modifications were recommended. A revised DPR will be submitted soon, and the authority expects to issue a tender to engage transport operators for the project in a month, Maheshwari said.

On June 9, the corporation will submit a presentation on the project. The corporation will be able to share more details once the project is sanctioned, NMRC general manager Manoj Vajpayee said.

Highlighting the requirement for more buses and three-wheeler services, Brajesh Kumar Sharma, a resident of Sector 78, said the last-mile connectivity with the metro stations was still insufficient.
