Nitish Kumar Inaugurates Rs 5.54 Billion Aurangabad Projects


Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, during his Pragati Yatra, inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for 195 development projects worth a total of Rs 5.54 billion in Aurangabad district. 

Of these projects, 79 completed schemes worth Rs 1.27 billion were inaugurated, and 116 new projects valued at Rs 4.28 billion were also launched. 
Among the inaugurations, the Chief Minister opened a Panchayat Government Building in Bedhni Panchayat (Dev Block), where he also reviewed the library, Mukhiya room, and other offices. 

In his visit to Mahadalit Tola, Kumar assessed various schemes under the Seven Resolves Scheme, such as Pucca Gali Nali, Har Ghar Nal Ka Jal Yojana, Housing Scheme, and the Chief Minister Solar Street Light Scheme. 

At Surya Mandir in Dev, the Chief Minister offered prayers for the state’s peace and prosperity. 

Kumar reviewed the proposed ring road and Medical College Aurangabad at Irrigation Colony Dev, urging officials to ensure smooth connectivity to the hospital site. 
During his visit to Surya Kund and Rudra Kund, the Chief Minister emphasised the need for deepening and beautifying Surya Kund to ensure an uninterrupted water supply for pilgrims, particularly during Chhath Puja. He also directed the completion of a radial road before the next Chhath festival to ease traffic. 

The Chief Minister inaugurated a nine-story Model Hospital at the Aurangabad Sadar Hospital premises, directing the installation of a lift for patient convenience. 

He also inspected the Adari Riverfront Development Project, which will beautify a 1500-meter stretch and include features like open gyms, parks, RCC seating, and a 2500-meter drainage system to prevent pollution from reaching the river. 

Kumar inaugurated Bhimrao Ambedkar Residential School in Kushi, Aurangabad, where he interacted with students, urging them to focus on their studies. 

He distributed Rs 29.4 million to 147 beneficiaries under various schemes, including Chief Minister Udyam Yojana, Ayushman Cards, and Marriage Incentive Grants for disabled individuals. 

Highlighting the success of Jeevika self-help groups, the Chief Minister praised the transformation in women’s lives, emphasising their enhanced confidence, communication skills, and financial stability.
