NHPC Seeks Bids for 39.73 MW Rooftop Solar Projects in Sikkim and J&K
NHPC has invited tenders for 39.73 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar projects in Sikkim and Jammu & Kashmir, part of its efforts to expand renewable energy capacity. The projects, which will be developed under the renewable energy service company (RESCO) model, will be spread across multiple districts in both states.
In Sikkim, bidders are required to install 5.06 MW of rooftop solar projects on government buildings, with proposals due by February 24, 2025. Projects in Sikkim are spread across various districts, with potential installations ranging from 270 kW to 1,790 kW.
In Jammu & Kashmir, a more substantial 34.67 MW capacity will be installed for various government departments under the management of the Jammu and Kashmir Energy Development Agency (JAKEDA). Bids for the Jammu & Kashmir projects must be submitted by February 21, 2025.
Bidders must meet stringent requirements, including a demonstrated history of installing at least 400 kW of grid-connected solar systems, and have an average annual turnover ranging from ?5.4 million to ?35.4 million, depending on the project category. Additionally, bidders must have a positive net worth in two of the last three financial years and meet working capital requirements.
Both projects must be commissioned within nine months after the signing of the power purchase agreements.
