NH-522 in Jharkhand: MoRTH launches 4-lane expansion
The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) has made an announcement regarding a tender for the expansion and reconstruction of NH-522 (previously referred to as NH-100) in the Giridih and Hazaribagh districts of Jharkhand. It was stated that there is a plan to widen the road to have four lanes and also to include paved shoulders.
It was further informed that the section which has been marked for the four-lane expansion, coupled with the addition of paved shoulders, stretches from kilometre 0 to kilometre 48. The approach chosen for executing this project is the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) model. The expected timeframe for finishing the project is within a period of 24 months.
The complete value of the contract has been estimated to be Rs 5.18 billion. It was indicated that those parties interested in bidding for this contract are required to present their proposals by the closing date of September 26, 2023.
