NDMC to Overhaul Delhi Road Signs

The New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) is set to revamp all road signs in Lutyens' Delhi, aiming to enhance navigation and safety in the iconic area. The initiative is part of a broader plan to upgrade urban infrastructure and improve the city's overall functionality.

The project will replace outdated and damaged road signs with new, modern ones designed to meet current standards and ensure better visibility. This upgrade includes standardized signage for streets, traffic directions, and public information to streamline traffic flow and reduce confusion among drivers and pedestrians.

The NDMC's decision follows feedback from residents and frequent commuters about the need for clearer and more effective road signage in the historic and high-traffic region. The revamped signs will feature improved designs for better readability and durability, addressing issues related to the wear and tear of existing signs.

The overhaul will be carried out in phases to minimize disruption. The NDMC plans to complete the project by the end of the year, aiming to enhance the overall commuting experience and contribute to the modernization of Delhi's infrastructure.

This initiative underscores the NDMC's commitment to improving urban infrastructure and maintaining the aesthetic and functional aspects of Lutyens' Delhi, a key area known for its historical significance and administrative importance.
