MoRTH prioritizes 57 critical National Highway projects in Assam


Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced, October 22, that the timely completion of 57 critical National Highway projects is a shared priority for both the Centre and the state government.

Sarma made this announcement following a review meeting chaired by Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari. He highlighted the importance of expediting key projects, especially the early completion of the Jorhat-Dibrugarh highway.

In a post on ‘X,’ Sarma mentioned that he had the privilege of attending a review meeting in New Delhi, led by the Honorable Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, which focused on the development of 1,001 kilometers of highway projects in Assam. He reiterated that their collective priority is the timely completion of 57 critical National Highway projects across various implementing agencies.
