The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has taken a landmark step in harmonizing India’s digital governance with the launch of the Digital Brand Identity Manual (DBIM) and the inaugural Chief Information Officer (CIO) Conference 2025. Held in New Delhi, the event was presided over by Shri Jitin Prasada, Union Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology & Commerce & Industry, alongside Shri S. Krishnan, Secretary, MeitY. The initiative, part of the Gov.In: Harmonisation of Government of India's Digital Footprint, aims to create a standardized and cohesive digital presence across all government platforms. 

Shri Jitin Prasada highlighted that DBIM reinforces the government’s vision of “Minimum Government, Maximum Governance” by fostering "Uniform Governance," ensuring all ministries and platforms maintain a consistent digital presence. The initiative aligns with the Prime Minister’s vision of "Reform, Perform, and Transform," enhancing accessibility, inclusivity, and citizen-centric governance while elevating India’s e-governance standards globally. The DBIM seeks to simplify and standardise government websites, making navigation easier for citizens from diverse backgrounds. It also aims to improve transparency and public engagement through the Central Content Publishing System (CCPS), ensuring key policies, schemes, and initiatives are readily accessible. Furthermore, AI-driven tools and robust security measures will be leveraged to create a seamless, trustworthy, and future-ready digital ecosystem, contributing to India’s vision of Viksit Bharat 2047. 

MeitY Secretary Shri S. Krishnan underscored the Prime Minister’s directive to establish a unified interface across all government websites, ensuring a user-friendly digital experience comparable to private-sector platforms. The DBIM will enhance service delivery and digital branding, ensuring consistent messaging across ministries. He also emphasized the pivotal role of the National Informatics Centre (NIC) in modernizing government infrastructure to meet evolving digital demands. With the digital economy projected to contribute 20% to India’s GDP, he stressed the need for ministries to embrace digital transformation for more efficient service delivery. The launch of DBIM and the CIO Conference 2025 mark a significant milestone in India's digital governance, reinforcing MeitY’s commitment to innovation, agility, and security while ensuring a future-ready, citizen-first digital ecosystem.
