Mahindra EPC Irrigation Secures Rs 111 Mn Micro Irrigation Contract

Mahindra EPC Irrigation has been awarded a contract for the supply of micro irrigation systems under the Community Micro Irrigation Project. The contract, issued by the Office of the Assistant Engineer, mandates completion within 12 months and is valued at Rs 111 million.

Mahindra EPC Irrigation manufactures micro irrigation systems, including drip and sprinkler systems, at its facilities in Nashik (Maharashtra), Vadodara (Gujarat), and Coimbatore (Tamil Nadu). The company reported a remarkable 280.6% surge in consolidated net profit. Revenue from operations increased by 1.4% year-on-year to Rs 814 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2024.

India’s micro irrigation sector is witnessing significant growth, driven by increasing government initiatives such as the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana (PMKSY) and state-level subsidy programmes promoting efficient water use. With climate change concerns and water scarcity becoming pressing issues, the demand for drip and sprinkler irrigation is expected to rise steadily. The market is also benefiting from technological advancements, farmer awareness, and private sector participation. As the sector expands, companies like Mahindra EPC Irrigation are well-positioned to leverage growth opportunities and strengthen their market presence.
