Mahindra & Mahindra's March Tractor Sales Surge 34%

Mahindra & Mahindra reported a 34 per cent increase in total tractor sales, including exports, for March 2025, reaching 34,934 units. In comparison, the company had sold 26,024 tractors in March 2024.

Domestic sales for March 2025 stood at 32,582 units, marking a 34 per cent growth over the 24,276 tractors sold during the same period last year. Exports for the month were recorded at 2,352 units.

The growth in tractor sales was supported by favourable weather conditions, strong reservoir levels, an optimistic rabi crop outlook, and improved market conditions for farmers. The ongoing harvest season in northern India has contributed to the positive momentum, with smooth progress expected across other regions.

In the last week of March, sales activity increased due to festive demand, boosting deliveries. This momentum is anticipated to continue in the first quarter of FY26, driven by expectations of a strong rabi harvest and improved cash flow for farmers.

Additionally, Mahindra & Mahindra achieved its highest-ever annual tractor sales in FY25 (April 2024–March 2025), recording a 12 per cent growth. This was attributed to robust retail demand across the country and historically low dealer inventory levels.
