Maharashtra Deputy CM urges railway managers for project expeditions

Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis, has urged the Divisional Railway Managers (DRMs) of Central Railway and South East Central Railway (SECR) to accelerate the progress of on-going projects in the region. Fadnavis specifically addressed the redevelopment plans for Nagpur and Ajni stations, discussing the intricate details with the officials.

During the meeting, DRM Central Railway Tushar Kant Pandey provided a comprehensive overview of the various initiatives taking place on both the west and east sides of Nagpur station. The redevelopment plans for Nagpur station include not only service buildings but also a segregated arrival and departure concourse with dedicated foot overbridge (FOB) and a roof plaza. The station will also be equipped with lifts, escalators, and efficient traffic flow systems, featuring basement and surface parking facilities on both sides.

As part of the 'Amrit Bharat' program, 15 stations within the Nagpur division have been carefully selected for development. Furthermore, Godhani station is currently undergoing transformation into a satellite station, offering a range of new amenities and services.
