Ludhiana has seen the conceptualisation of 85 infrastructure projects totalling Rs 9.30 billion, aimed at modernizing the city, improving quality of life, and addressing long-standing urban challenges.

To date, 65 projects worth Rs 7.12 billion have been completed. These include the construction of Railway Over Bridges (RoB) and Railway Under Bridges (RuB) on Pakhowal Road, Water Front Development along the Sidhwan Canal, the introduction of Smart eClassrooms, the development of Malhar Road as a Smart Road, and the establishment of a Municipal Command & Control Centre for enhanced surveillance and security. Additionally, advancements in Solid Waste Management through the use of compactors, installation of LED streetlights, and the development of parks and green spaces have significantly contributed to the city's transformation.

Seventeen projects, valued at Rs 1.99 billion, are currently in progress. These focus on improving water supply, advancing Solid Waste Management through bio-remediation, and enhancing sports infrastructure, including the construction of an all-weather swimming pool at Rakh Bagh. Road and bridge projects are also underway to enhance connectivity and transportation within the city.

Three additional projects, worth Rs 180.08 million, are in the tendering phase. These include the development of Nehru Rose Garden, procurement of sewerage machinery, and further park enhancements, all aimed at improving Ludhiana's urban landscape.

These initiatives reflect the Punjab government's commitment to creating a sustainable, liveable, and future-ready Ludhiana through continuous investment in infrastructure development.
