The Solar PV plant, situated in Kajra, Lakshisarai district, along with the BESS, is designed to improve grid stability by storing solar energy during low-demand periods and releasing it during peak times. Moreover, the BESS will help stabilise fluctuations in generation, contribute to frequency regulation and voltage support, and offer black start capabilities to expedite grid restoration after outages.

A Ravindran, Senior Vice President & Head of Renewable Strategic Business Group, PT&D, commented that the project marks a valuable addition to their Renewable EPC portfolio, which already encompasses 18 GWp of cumulative capacity from commissioned and ongoing solar and wind projects.
