Kerala University of Health Sciences to Host 1 MW Solar Project


The Agency for New and Renewable Energy Research and Technology (ANERT) has opened bids for a 1 MW grid-connected solar project at the Kerala University of Health Sciences in Thrissur, Kerala. The project is set to feature a combination of ground-mounted, carport, and rooftop solar systems.

Bidders must submit their proposals by December 6, 2024, with bids being opened on the same day. A tender document fee of ?17,850 ($211.5) and an Earnest Money Deposit of ?100,000 ($1,185) are required. The successful bidder will also need to pay a license fee of 2.5% of the total project cost to ANERT.

The project’s scope includes design, engineering, supply, civil work, installation, testing, and commissioning. The selected bidder will also be responsible for power evacuation and maintaining the solar systems for five years post-installation.

Eligibility requirements include having commissioned at least one grid-connected solar project of no less than 1 MW, with a cumulative capacity of over 5 MW. Bidders must also demonstrate an average annual turnover of ?50 million ($592,455) in two of the last five years and a net worth of ?30 million ($355,473).

This project follows ANERT’s earlier bid invitations, including a 1.5 MW solar project for the Central University of Kerala and efforts related to the Kerala Green Hydrogen Mission.
